The Southern California Reined Cow Horse Association (SCRCHA) is a growing organization promoting the reined cow horse, one of the most versatile equines in the world. SCRCHA is affiliated with the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA), the governing body for cow horse competition. Both organizations celebrate the vaquero tradition of highly trained working cow horses. Each year, the SCRCHA hosts shows, clinics, and other events for its members who reside throughout Southern California. In 2006, SCRCHA named Affiliate of the Year by the NRCHA.
